Ways to help correct neck posture

An abnormal neck posture not only results to muscle strains, but more serious complications like disc herniations and arthritis. And did you know that for every inch that we move our head forward, it increases the weight of our head on our neck by ten pounds?

The extra weight we put on our neck results to an abnormal neck posture, and this could alter the normal curve of our cervical spine. In turn, we will experience degenerative joint diseases, ligament and bone strains, and neck arthritis.

To help with your neck posture, you must remember to always keep a correct posture when standing up, sitting down and lying down.

There are certain types of backpacks that are not good for your neck and back, and results to your head bending down and forward because of the weight in your back. When you buy backpacks, choose those which are designed to evenly distribute the weight. Good backpacks can prevent strains and poor neck posture.
